QUARTZITE CLEANING
quartzite cleaning
Quartzite is an igneous stone with an attractive sparkle finish. The most often supplied with a cleft finish, cut to size, or flagstone. Quartzite can also be ground and polished.
I have even produced some with an “antique-honed” finish, and it looked fantastic. It is a great option for bringing out new life by adding color and making it much easier to keep clean.
Quartzite Cleaning
It can usually be cleaned with any option required to remove the given contaminants; whether it is biological, organic, or mineral staining. Part of our process uses pressure cleaning (see our stone cleaning services).
It is necessary to remove the embedded soils from the coarse texture. Our system catches the chemical effluent so it can be disposed of properly.
Quartzite Sealing
Quartzite is very porous and is the one stone type I recommend sealing every time, with an impregnating sealer of course. The type of quartzite sealer we use is well suited for this kind of extra porous stone. At times a color enhancing sealer can be used to add beauty and bring a new life to old and faded quartzite stone surfaces.
